Elnagar is a PhD Student at the Max Planck Institute of Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences. She holds a masters degree in neuroscience from the University of Munich.

Elnagar investigates how our prior knowledge (particularly schemas) influence our new learning in the brain. Using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) and behavioural methods, Elnagar is studying how structures in the Medial Temporal Lobe (MTL) interact with the Medial Prefrontal Cortex (mPFC) for this learning process.
