Heba Megahd
Doctoral Student at the University of Genoa
About
Megahd is a doctoral student in the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry at the University of Genoa.
Current research
Megahd’s research focuses on developing and utilizing structural colour in polymers. Colour resulting from structure can be more sustainably produced, stabilized and dynamically tuned, compared to dyes. The current research objective is to develop colour-changing sensors and efficiency-enhancing photonic structures. This is done through fabricating nanostructures made of polymers and blends of unique properties. For that, Megahd designs and develops novel polymer materials and functional structures.
Future research vision
Megahd’s vision is to continue developing sustainable functional materials for various impactful applications that improve the quality of life.
